Springfield Township

In 1735, William Penn's sons sold about 4,000 acres of their best land in southeastern Pennsylvania by lottery. At the top of Bucks County, Springfield Township lies central along the county's northern border. Springtown is just inside Bucks County along Route 212.

The highest elevation in Bucks County, 980 ft., is near the summit of Flint Hill. Knecht's Covered Bridge is on Springhouse Lane off Slifer Valley Road.
